Way back when….let’s just say Ronald Reagan was in the White House, I worked a variety of jobs to pay for George Washington University. That’s when I fell in love with Washington DC. It’s not too big, not too small, it’s just right. Perfect in fact. The Capitol, The Mall, the Potomac river, the universities…give me the buzz of people trying to get things done.
For the next 35 years or so I lived in DC, owning my first townhome on 13th Street NW before there was a Green Line Metro stop. Then on to Dupont Circle to a sweet Coop, then to Shaw and a gut-renovation of a charming townhome, then I had to head to Brookland with my wife and soon-to-be son before it became too cool for school.
Like many families before us, we migrated north to Bethesda for a cute Cape Cod, a large yard, a dog, a cat and 2 birds. Still happily married and now our son is a teenager.
My story is similar to many of our clients. We all want to build something and that almost always start with a place to call home. We want community, security, family, and friends.
I’ve been a licensed real estate agent since 2002 working in DC, MD and VA. I love helping our buyers find condos, coops or houses. I have too many favorite neighborhoods to list. There are the Circles – Dupont and Logan, the history of Capitol Hill, Georgetown, Shaw and Ledroit, the charm of Brookland and Takoma Park. Maryland also has a Takoma Park and one of the best farmer's markets, Silver Spring is so hip and Gaithersburg is chill. Bethesda has style. I can’t leave out Arlington VA, along with Del Ray, Old Town, Vienna, Tyson’s, and Annandale. I know I’m leaving out a favorite.
All this experience allows me to keep my cool when I’m selling your perfect home for another or helping you find your first home.
Before real estate about 22 years ago, I worked at upscale hotels and resorts and later owned and operated 2 successful restaurants, 1 in Adams Morgan and 1 in Old Town Alexandria.
What do these careers have in common? To be successful you put the client first, second and third.
