We met Jeff at an open house and he immediately impressed us with his clear knowledge of home construction and his honesty. Jeff was an excellent agent for many reasons. 1) Jeff is extremely familiar with the DC, MD, VA region and the real estate market. 2) Jeff used to be a home inspector, so he knows everything on how a house should be constructed, what to look for when checking pipes, ceilings, roofs, ect. This was very helpful and saved us a lot of time. 3) Jeff is very honest and straight forward. He always presents his clients with all of the facts, pros, and cons of a home. When submitting our offer Jeff went over and beyond to make sure our offer was considered and ultimately accepted. If it wasn't for him, we truly would not have gotten our home. He is very responsive, pro-active, knowledgeable, and goes out of his way to make sure he is providing all the resources you need throughout the home buying process. There is a reason this guy has such stellar reviews -- if you're looking for a realtor, you just can't go wrong with Jeff Reese. We met Jeff at an open house and liked his no-pressure style. He was formerly a home inspector, so we thought his knowledge base might be useful since we were looking at older homes that might need renovation. Wow, were we right! Jeff went over and above all of our expectations throughout the whole process. Looking at houses with him and getting the 'soup to nuts' details pointed out to us -- about what was good and what was potentially bad about each house -- was incredibly helpful to us as first-time homebuyers. He knew we were newbies and watched out for us throughout the process. His recommendations and advice were spot on throughout the searching, financing, offering, and all the way through closing. He let us know what to expect at each stage and made himself available as we needed his advice or guidance. Jeff's experience was especially appreciated during our offer stage, since we were dealing with competing bids. After our offer was accepted, he was in continued regular contact with us, helping to keep us to our timeline, make recommendations, touching base with all the necessary other parties (inspector, lender, etc.). He helped guide us through a bit of a scare during inspection, and even offered personal help with his truck if we needed it for our move. Jeff worked with us during July and August 2018 to sell our home in Silver Spring. In short: work with Jeff, he’s simply amazing. After a rapid, highly efficient preparation, staging and marketing process, within 3 days of going on the market, we had 6 offers, and our home sold above asking and closed within 20 days. Longer story: we were selling a home for the first time in the USA and looking for a quick sale with guidance we could trust along the way. We spoke with several realtors and Jeff stood out for the care, patience and consideration he took in understanding our questions, concerns and timeline and for the deep expertise and knowledge he had of our neighborhood in Indian Spring. Before we signed with Jeff he said “my goal is to give you guys an insane level of customer service” - and honestly that doesn’t begin to describe how massively Jeff and his team over-delivered on our home sale. As an experienced agent and former home inspector he was able to quickly identify and prioritize what cost-effective repairs, landscaping and redecoration we should do, and he then introduced us to dependable contractors to complete the work, which he personally checked up on. Next, Jeff along with his colleagues who have interior design and staging expertise, helped to set up our home to look like a movie scene - providing furniture, accessories and artwork to complement our own. Jeff then brought in teams to shoot both high definition video, a 3-D virtual walk-through model and beautiful still photographs. This, together with a strong listing website and smart investments in digital marketing, saw our house go live with a splash. But what showed that all the effort was worth it was this: we had 2 open houses on the Saturday and Sunday that the house went on the market and had almost 200 people come by! In our neighborhood that is unheard of, and it strained the local road infrastructure to capacity. By Sunday night we had a ratified contract. If all this wasn’t enough, not only was Jeff in regular contact with us, and a trusted source of guidance and information on the steps involved in completing the sale - he was just as happy to show up at 7am with his pickup trck and to help us move furniture. He’s the friendly, easy-going neighbor everyone wishes they had. Run, do not walk to Jeff if you’re selling your home. I cannot think of how our experience could possibly have been better. And even if you’re not selling your home, consider selling it just so you can work with Jeff!

Our time with Jeffrey Reese has been absolutely incredible. Jeff has an inspector background and got into real-estate as his way of doing what he could to protect home-buyers, especially new ones, from being taken advantage of. Jeff's passion isn't homes, it's helping people. He just happens to be an EXPERT at homes too. We began our housing-hunting journey as first-time home-buyers, and didn't really know where to begin. We shopped around for agents and interviewed a couple, but none held a candle to Jeff. Other agents were extremely aggressive and only seemed to care about making a sale. Jeff was the opposite! He is extremely patient and never pressures you to put in an offer before you are ready. We have heard so many stories from friends with horrific experiences buying houses and agents who only seemed to care about their commission. Jeff made the house buying process fun and you can tell he really cares about the well-being of his clients. Jeff is without a doubt a "full-service" agent. He took the time to provide us with a thorough hour-long orientation during our first meeting breaking down critical points during the home-buying experience. He explained and showed us what we need to look for in terms of inspection issues and maintenance. And he always promised to protect us from making bad decisions. He did all of that while methodically helping us properly envision what to look for in our dream starter home. Jeff didn't have to do all he did for us. He didn't have to take the time to cater to all our wishes and have long conversations with us about why some of our wishes could turn out to be curses. The fact that Jeff DID do all of those extra things should tell you the type of person Jeff is and the type of agent he'll be for you. We got an amazing deal on our house due to Jeff's amazing negotiation skills and personality. We had a very pleasant and productive experience working with Jeff. He is patient with his clients and tries to understand what their needs are and what they are looking for in a home. He is also a joy to work with. Due to his experience as a Building Inspector, Jeff was keen to point out the structural pros and cons of each home we visited together. During the whole buying process-whether it be looking at potential homes, putting in offers on homes, and most importantly the time period between entering into a contract and settlement of our future home-Jeff was very thorough and detailed in walking his clients through every step. Jeff was highly recommended from a friend because he is not only a wonderful realtor but also a very nice man. We can't expect to have a better realtor than Jeff. Because my mom’s home is located on University Boulevard, we expected the house to remain on the market for an extended period of time. My mother is elderly and it was difficult for her to leave her home after 47 years. However, Jeff showed tremendous compassion. Jeff has been a dream come true for our house searching needs. Being first-time home-buyers in the red-hot market of Washington DC, Jeff made this daunting experience into a thrilling adventure. He was always reachable and ready to chat, or call back right away. He will never let you write an offer on a house if you are not 100% sure you love it and he will make sure you have all the necessary information before writing it. His main goal is for you to be 100% satisfied with the house you buy, regardless of the number of houses he shows to you. He has extensive experience in home inspections and will easily tour the house pointing at all issues (good and bad) so we had an idea of the expenses needed to do in the short-long term. During the negotiations, he was extremely protective, guiding us throughout the whole process. We felt in very good hands, he always made sure we were calm and well informed on top of the whole nerve-wracking process. While he claims he doesn’t know much about finances, he does know about lenders and mortgage processes so that he knows exactly what it takes to prepare a competitive offer that is not necessarily the highest. Thanks to that, we managed to close our house in a very contended bidding. He has been supporting us after closing, offering help with renovations and advising us while we plan for some home renovations. The only downside of working with him is that you are going to miss spending time with him every week, as we do now. We recommend Jeff unconditionally!
